19th Sunday after Pentecost

This Sunday, Pastor Amanda preached that even though we repeatedly fall short of God's call, Jesus entered Jerusalem and went to the cross anyway, revealing a love and grace that never give up on us.

Reflection Questions:

1. In the parable of the vineyard, the tenants repeatedly rejected the landowner's servants. In what ways do we sometimes resist God's guidance in our own lives?

2. What "good fruits" do you think God is calling you to produce right now?

3. How does it change your understanding of God's love to know that Jesus went to the cross fully aware of humanity's failures, including your own?

4. Are there areas of your life where you struggle to accept God's grace because of repeated failures or shortcomings?

5. The sermon reminds us that God's love does not depend on our ability to get everything right. How does that truth bring you comfort or challenge you?

Prayer:

Gracious God, thank you for loving us even when we fall short and for sending Jesus, knowing fully who we are. Help us to trust in your grace, bear good fruit, and follow Christ with grateful hearts. Amen.
