Easter Sunday

This past Sunday, Pastor Amanda reflected on Easter as the joyful release of our “alleluias,” centering the faithful witness of the women at the empty tomb and inviting believers to live out the resurrection with both fear and joy as people transformed by a risen Christ.

You can read the document by clicking the link above.

Reflection Questions:

1. What does the practice of “burying” and then reclaiming the alleluia teach us about preparation, waiting, and joy in the Christian life?

2. Why do you think Pastor Amanda emphasized the role of the women at the tomb, and how does that emphasis challenge common resurrection retellings?

3. The women leave the tomb with both fear and joy—where do you see those emotions showing up together in your own faith journey?

4. How does knowing the resurrection story in advance differ from experiencing it for the first time, and what might we lose or gain because of that distance?

5. The sermon ends by asking where we go after the resurrection. What does “living like the women” look like in daily life today?

Prayer:

Risen Christ, you have rolled away the stone and released our alleluias, meeting us in our fear and filling us with resurrection joy. By your grace, send us out like the women at the tomb, trusting your promise, bearing faithful witness, and living as people set free to love, serve, and proclaim that you are alive and still at work among us. Amen.
